Brice Travis
Regional General Manager – Northern Region
Brice Travis, Regional General Manager, oversees daily operations of the Northern Region of Pioneer Lines, which includes the states of Michigan, Indiana, Ohio, and Pennsylvania.
Mr. Travis brings nineteen years of operations and management experience to the Pioneer Lines team, after a successful career in manufacturing operations. He began his rail career in 2001 in the engineering department of the Maumee & Western Railroad. He subsequently completed his Conductor and Engineer certifications and was promoted to direct the day-to-day operations of two short line roads in Ohio and Indiana. In 2012, he joined the Napoleon Defiance and Western Railroad (NDW), one of the most infrastructure challenged railroads in the US, where he served as its General Manager. Mr. Travis implemented a robust infrastructure improvement program to bring the line to Class 1 status through partnerships with the Ohio Rail Development Commission culminating in the successful effort to receive federal funding support from the Federal Railroad Administration in 2020. He was promoted to his current responsibilities in August 2019, where he oversees 5 short line railroads in the Pioneer system.
